Zapier Pricing 2026: Free, Professional, Team, Tasks & AI
Zapier pricing explained: Free 100 tasks, Professional from $19.99, Team from $69, Enterprise, AI task multipliers, MCP rates, trial, refunds and overages.

Zapier pricing in 2026 is task-based. The platform has four core plans: Free, Professional, Team and Enterprise. Free includes 100 tasks per month. Professional starts at $19.99 per month when billed annually, Team starts at $69 per month billed annually and Enterprise uses custom pricing.
The subscription price is only the first part of the cost model. Zapier now applies the same shared task framework across ordinary Zap actions, AI by Zapier, MCP, code and SDK usage. Different actions can consume different numbers of tasks, so two workflows with the same number of “steps” can have very different costs.
Annual billing currently saves 33% versus monthly billing, but task tiers change the actual price. Zapier’s public pricing page therefore shows starting prices rather than one universal Professional or Team amount.

Zapier pricing at a glance
| Plan | Starting price | Users | Core allowance/structure |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 1 | 100 tasks/month |
| Professional | $19.99/month annual billing | 1 | Select a paid task tier |
| Team | $69/month annual billing | Up to 25 | Shared task pool + team features |
| Enterprise | Custom | Unlimited | Contracted annual task limits and governance |
Free plan
Zapier Free costs $0 and includes 100 tasks per month.
The account can create unlimited Zap workflows, Tables and Forms, but published Zaps are limited to one trigger plus one action. Free supports one user and 15-minute polling for polling-based triggers.
Free also currently includes 2,500 records in Tables and up to 10 Form project pages.
Zapier MCP is available, but MCP actions draw from the same 100-task pool. At two tasks per successful MCP tool call, the free allowance can disappear quickly in agent workflows.
Professional pricing
Professional starts at $19.99 per month when billed annually. Zapier’s current plan selector shows annual billing as 33% cheaper than monthly billing.
SearchSagar’s September 2026 official-source research captured a $29.99 monthly starting rate for the comparable entry tier, but Zapier pricing changes dynamically with task selection. The live checkout should be treated as final.
Professional is a single-user plan and adds multi-step workflows, unlimited premium apps, webhooks, AI Fields, conditional form logic and expanded support.
Team pricing
Team starts at $69 per month when billed annually. Zapier’s current packaging supports up to 25 users.
The plan adds shared Zaps, shared folders, shared app connections, SAML SSO and priority support.
SearchSagar’s September 2026 official-source research captured a $103.50 monthly starting rate for the comparable task tier. Like Professional, the live price depends on task volume and billing cadence.
Enterprise pricing
Enterprise uses custom pricing and supports unlimited users.
Current features include advanced admin permissions, app controls, advanced deployment options, annual task limits, observability, a Technical Account Manager, priority support with screen sharing, SCIM, domain capture and custom data retention.
Enterprise buyers should negotiate overage behavior, annual task commitments, support SLAs and connector governance in the contract.
How Zapier tasks work
A task is a successful unit of work. Most standard app actions cost one task. Triggers do not count as tasks, and many built-in workflow tools cost zero.
For example, a Zap triggered by a new lead that creates a CRM contact, sends an email and posts a Slack message normally uses three billable action tasks each time it runs.
If that same workflow adds AI processing, MCP or extended code, the rate can change.
Zero-task built-in tools
Current Zapier rate documentation lists Formatter, Paths, Filters, Delay, Looping, Sub-Zaps, Digests, Zapier Manager, Storage, Tables and Forms as built-in tools that do not consume tasks.
This means workflow design can materially affect economics. A team can sometimes transform or route data using built-in steps without adding task usage.
AI by Zapier task pricing
AI by Zapier uses model tiers introduced in 2026.
| AI tier | Base tasks per AI step | Tool calls |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 1 | Not supported |
| Advanced | 3 | 3 tasks per tool call |
| Premium | 5 | 5 tasks per tool call |
| Bring your own AI account | 1 | 1 task per tool call where supported |
Premium is currently the default for new AI steps according to the model-tier documentation, while another 2026 migration notice describes Advanced as the default during rollout. Because defaults can change, check the selected tier in each production Zap rather than assuming.
AI cost example
Suppose one Premium AI step runs and calls two tools. The base model step uses five tasks, and the two tool calls use another ten tasks. One AI block can therefore consume 15 tasks before any downstream external app action runs.
The same workload using Advanced would consume nine tasks: three for the AI response plus six for two tool calls.
This illustrates why teams moving from ordinary automation to agentic workflows need to revisit task budgets.
Bring your own AI model
When an eligible workflow uses the customer’s own model-provider account, Zapier currently charges one Zapier task for the AI step and one task per tool call, while the external model provider bills tokens separately.
This can lower Zapier task consumption for AI-heavy workflows but introduces a second vendor bill.
Zapier MCP pricing
Zapier MCP does not have a separate subscription under the current core plans. It consumes the same shared task allowance.
Each successful MCP tool call costs two tasks. Failed calls do not consume tasks.
An AI assistant that looks up a contact and then sends an email performs two successful tool calls, consuming four tasks.
Code by Zapier pricing
A standard Code by Zapier action currently uses one task.
Extended runtime adds one task per 30 seconds beyond the plan-specific included runtime.
Code can therefore remain inexpensive for short transformations but become more costly if used for long-running computation.
Lead Router pricing
Zapier’s current rate table lists Lead Router at five tasks per successful step.
High-volume sales teams should include this rate when comparing Zapier with dedicated lead-routing tools or custom CRM automation.
Pay-per-task billing
Paid accounts can continue running beyond the included task allowance through pay-per-task billing when enabled or applicable.
This is useful operationally because workflows do not simply stop, but it creates variable monthly cost.
Teams should set alerts and review task usage by workflow so one unexpectedly busy automation does not dominate the bill.
Held runs at the limit
If task capacity is exhausted without enough overage allowance, Zapier can hold workflow runs rather than deleting them.
Held runs can be replayed after tasks become available. This protects data but can create operational delays for critical workflows.
Annual vs monthly billing
Zapier currently advertises annual billing as 33% cheaper than monthly pricing.
The actual amount depends on the selected task tier, so users should compare the annual commitment with expected volume and growth.
Annual plans are also non-refundable under the current general refund policy, which increases the importance of piloting first.
14-day Pro trial
New users automatically receive a 14-day Pro trial. No payment method is required and the account does not auto-upgrade at the end of this initial trial.
If no paid plan is selected, the account moves to Free.
This is the safest way to test premium apps, multi-step Zaps, webhooks and AI Fields before paying.
Team trial caveat
Zapier also offers Team trials. If a card is added to certain Team trial flows, auto-upgrade can occur unless the user opts out.
Zapier also distinguishes initial trials from later retrials, which can require a payment method. Always check the trial’s billing settings.
Refund policy
Zapier’s current refund policy is strict: all purchases are considered final and non-refundable.
This includes monthly and annual subscriptions, upgrades, renewals and add-ons.
Temporary app outages or missing features are also generally not grounds for refunds.
Cancellation policy
To cancel a core paid plan, select the Free plan in Billing. The downgrade takes effect at the end of the billing cycle.
Paid features remain available until then, and no new base subscription renewal occurs afterward.
Pay-per-task usage from the final cycle can still be billed after cancellation.
Professional vs Team
Professional is for one user. Team is for collaborative automation with shared connections, folders and SSO.
If several people need to maintain the same workflows, sharing credentials through one Professional account is not an appropriate substitute for Team governance.
Team’s starting $69 annual price can be attractive because it includes up to 25 users, but the shared task pool still needs enough capacity for the department.
Team vs Enterprise
Team provides department-level collaboration. Enterprise adds organization-wide governance and deeper administrative control.
Enterprise becomes relevant when IT needs app restrictions, user provisioning, observability, custom retention, auditability and negotiated support.
How to estimate Zapier cost
List each production workflow and estimate how often it runs per month. Then count billable actions per run.
Next, separate zero-task built-in logic from paid actions. For AI steps, apply the selected model multiplier and estimate tool calls. For MCP, multiply successful tool calls by two.
Finally, add expected growth and retry/error patterns. A workflow that runs 10,000 times with one billable action is fundamentally different from a workflow that runs 1,000 times with 10 billable actions.

Zapier pricing verdict
Free is suitable for evaluation and very light automation. Professional is the practical starting point for one person building serious multi-step systems. Team makes sense when shared ownership and identity controls matter.
The headline prices are reasonable relative to custom integration development, but high-volume workflows can become expensive because task usage scales with successful actions.
Zapier is therefore easiest to justify when implementation speed and connector coverage are valuable enough to outweigh per-task economics.
