Otter Basic pricing
Basic is free forever. It includes 300 monthly transcription minutes, meetings up to 30 minutes, one concurrent meeting, standard AI meeting workflows and 20 Otter AI Chat queries per user each month.
Basic also includes only the 25 most recent conversations and three lifetime audio or video file imports. Older conversations remain in the account but can be archived from active access when the account falls back to Basic limits.
Basic is useful for evaluation and occasional use, but the history and import restrictions are significant for users building a searchable meeting archive.
Otter Pro pricing
Pro costs $16.99 per user per month on monthly billing. The current annual pricing table lists $8.33 per user per month equivalent, which is approximately $99.96 per year.
Pro increases in-app recording and transcription capacity to 1,200 minutes per user each month, allows meetings up to 90 minutes and provides unlimited conversation history.
It also adds advanced AI workflows, ten monthly file imports, unlimited storage, advanced meeting templates, team vocabulary, advanced search and exports, and integrations such as Salesforce, HubSpot and Zapier under published limits.
Otter Business pricing
Business costs $30 per user per month on monthly billing or $19.99 per user per month equivalent on annual billing, which is approximately $239.88 per user per year.
Business includes unlimited meetings and in-app recordings, meetings up to four hours, three concurrent meetings, custom AI workflows and unlimited audio/video file imports.
The current comparison table lists 6,000 imported-file transcription minutes per user per month even though meetings themselves are unlimited. Business also includes stronger admin features, analytics, activity logs and prioritized support.
Otter Enterprise pricing
Enterprise uses custom pricing and includes everything in Business plus unlimited custom AI workflows, Otter Sales Notetaker, custom CRM and dialer integrations, SSO, SCIM, domain capture, API and webhooks, customer success and stronger security controls.
HIPAA is an Enterprise add-on and requires a signed Business Associate Agreement. Enterprise is therefore the relevant tier for regulated healthcare workflows, custom internal applications and larger identity-management deployments.
Current Otter promotional pricing
Otter's live pricing page currently shows temporary first-time-subscriber promotions. The monthly Pro card displays a 50-percent promotional figure and Business displays a 20-percent discount for the first three months. The annual Pro view also shows a promotional figure below the standard annual price.
Because these offers can expire, vary by market or depend on first-time-subscriber eligibility, SearchSagar does not use promotional numbers as the headline long-term plan price.
Otter transcription limits
Basic includes 300 monthly transcription minutes and Pro 1,200. Business and Enterprise list unlimited meeting and in-app recording transcription.
Imported-file transcription has a separate limit on higher tiers. Business and Enterprise currently list 6,000 imported-file transcription minutes per user per month.
Monthly minute pools do not roll over.
Meeting duration limits
Basic meetings are limited to 30 minutes, Pro to 90 minutes and Business and Enterprise to four hours per conversation.
Long workshops, training sessions and customer calls are therefore one of the clearest reasons to move from Pro to Business.
Concurrent meeting limits
Basic supports one concurrent meeting, Pro two and Business/Enterprise three. This matters for teams where one user or shared role is expected to cover overlapping meetings.
File import limits
Basic allows three lifetime file imports. Pro allows ten imports per user each month. Business and Enterprise list unlimited numbers of imported files, subject to monthly imported-transcription minute limits.
AI Chat limits
The current pricing table lists 20 Otter AI Chat queries per Basic user, 50 per Pro user and 200 per user on Business and Enterprise.
Teams expecting heavy cross-meeting question answering should include this limit in plan selection rather than focusing only on transcription minutes.
Otter Business free trial
Otter offers a seven-day Business trial. A payment card is required, but it is not charged during the trial.
If the trial is not canceled before it ends, Otter automatically charges the current number of workspace seats at the Business monthly rate. Only workspace admins can cancel the Business trial.
Student and teacher discount
Otter currently advertises a 20-percent discount on Pro for eligible students and teachers using an email address ending in .edu. The published discounted prices are $13.59 per month for Pro Monthly and $79.99 per year for Pro Annual, equivalent to $6.67 per month.
Eligibility rules apply, so this rate should not be used as the normal consumer price.
Additional enterprise costs
HIPAA support is an Enterprise add-on, and Otter does not publish a standalone add-on price. RTMP transcription can also incur additional fees.
Custom CRM integrations, dialers, API projects and enterprise services can have negotiated pricing beyond the base contract.
Seat billing
Pro and Business are billed per user. The current pricing table lists up to five billed users for Pro self-serve and up to 25 for Business self-serve, while Enterprise supports unlimited workspace members under the contracted arrangement.
Large teams should model the full seat count rather than comparing Otter with an individual subscription.
Cancellation policy
Otter subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled. A subscription can be canceled at any time and remains active until the end of the current paid billing period.
Otter recommends canceling at least 24 hours before the next billing date to avoid an unwanted renewal. After expiration, the workspace moves to Basic.
Refund policy
Otter states that purchased subscriptions are non-refundable. This includes situations where a user forgets to cancel before renewal.
Subscriptions bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play are governed by the relevant store's cancellation and refund policies.
What happens to conversations after cancellation?
Canceling or downgrading does not delete conversations. On Basic, however, only the 25 most recent conversations remain actively accessible and older conversations are archived under Basic limits.
Deleting the account is different from canceling the subscription and permanently removes account data according to Otter's deletion process.
Which Otter plan offers the best value?
Choose Basic for light personal use or evaluation. Choose Pro when you need unlimited history, longer meetings and regular file imports. Choose Business for team collaboration, unlimited meeting capture and custom workflows. Choose Enterprise when API, HIPAA, SSO, SCIM or custom integrations are required.
