Midjourney Pricing 2026: Basic, Standard, Pro & Mega
Midjourney pricing explained: Basic, Standard, Pro and Mega costs, Fast GPU hours, Relax and Stealth modes, video usage, refunds and annual discounts.

Midjourney uses GPU-time subscription pricing rather than image credits. Every plan includes a monthly Fast GPU allowance, and higher plans add unlimited Relax generation for eligible work. Basic is $10 per month, Standard $30, Pro $60 and Mega $120. Annual billing reduces those effective monthly prices to $8, $24, $48 and $96 respectively.
The pricing model is straightforward once you understand the difference between Fast, Relax and Turbo. Fast time is your metered priority allowance. Relax is unlimited but lower priority on eligible plans. Turbo generates faster but consumes roughly twice as much Fast time. Video consumes substantially more GPU time than ordinary image generation.

Midjourney Basic pricing
Basic costs $10 monthly or $96 per year, equivalent to $8 per month. It includes 3.3 Fast GPU hours, or roughly 200 minutes, per month. Image generation runs in Fast Mode, and Basic can also generate SD video in Fast Mode.
Basic does not include Relax Mode or Stealth Mode. That makes it best for light experimentation or users who already know they will generate a relatively small amount of content.
Because video consumes more GPU time than images, Basic can feel restrictive for creators who experiment with multiple motion variations.
Midjourney Standard pricing
Standard costs $30 per month or $288 per year, equivalent to $24 monthly. It increases Fast GPU time to 15 hours and adds unlimited Relax image generation.
Standard also supports both SD and HD video in Fast Mode. It does not include Relax video or Stealth Mode. For image-focused users, however, Standard is often the most practical plan because routine exploration can move to Relax while Fast time is reserved for urgent or high-priority work.
Midjourney Pro pricing
Pro costs $60 monthly or $576 per year, equivalent to $48 per month. It includes 30 Fast GPU hours, unlimited Relax images, unlimited Relax SD video and Stealth Mode.
Image concurrency rises substantially: Pro supports up to 12 Fast image prompts or three Relax image prompts concurrently. Video supports up to six Fast prompts or three Relax video prompts.
Pro is also the minimum plan for companies making more than $1 million in gross annual revenue that want to use Midjourney output commercially for the company.
Midjourney Mega pricing
Mega costs $120 per month or $1,152 per year, equivalent to $96 monthly. It includes 60 Fast GPU hours, unlimited Relax images and SD video, Stealth Mode and the highest standard-plan video concurrency.
Mega supports up to 12 Fast or three Relax image prompts concurrently and up to 12 Fast or three Relax video prompts. It is designed for heavy production rather than ordinary individual usage.
How Fast GPU time works
Fast Mode places a generation into Midjourney's priority GPU queue. Every paid plan includes a monthly Fast allowance. Different generation types consume different amounts of that allowance, so one Fast hour should not be interpreted as a fixed number of images.
If the account runs out of Fast time, extra Fast GPU time is available for $4 per hour. Users can also earn Fast time by completing eligible rating or task activities when offered.
How Relax Mode works
Relax Mode is unlimited for eligible workloads but lower priority. Standard, Pro and Mega can generate unlimited images in Relax. Pro and Mega can also generate unlimited SD video in Relax.
Relax requests wait for spare GPU capacity. Midjourney says wait time can range from almost immediate to roughly 30 minutes depending on demand and usage. Some features such as HD video, permutations and certain repeat behavior remain unavailable in Relax.
How Turbo Mode affects cost
Turbo Mode is designed for faster generation and can run supported image jobs up to several times faster than standard Fast Mode. The trade-off is that it consumes roughly double the Fast GPU time.
Turbo is valuable when speed has business value—such as a live client session—but using it as the default can burn through a monthly allowance unnecessarily.
Midjourney video cost
Video is the largest GPU-time cost driver. Midjourney currently lists one SD video generation at about two GPU minutes when using a batch size of one, while a default batch of four SD videos uses about eight minutes. One HD video uses about seven minutes, and a four-video HD batch uses about 26 minutes.
All plans can generate SD video in Fast Mode. Standard, Pro and Mega can generate HD video in Fast Mode. Only Pro and Mega can use Relax video, and that Relax output is SD.
Midjourney Stealth pricing
Stealth Mode is included only with Pro and Mega. It keeps eligible creations from appearing publicly on midjourney.com. Basic and Standard creations remain public by default.
Stealth does not hide work generated inside a shared Discord channel from people in that channel. For private client work, use Stealth on the web Create page, in direct messages or inside a private Discord server.
Commercial-use plan requirement
Midjourney states that subscribers generally own the images and videos they create and can use them commercially. However, businesses making more than $1 million in gross annual revenue must use Pro or Mega for commercial company use.
This makes the company-revenue threshold a plan requirement, not merely a feature preference.
Does Midjourney have a free plan or free trial?
No permanent free plan is currently available, and Midjourney does not offer a standard free trial. The current Getting Started documentation directs new users to subscribe before creating.
That makes Basic the practical evaluation tier. Buyers should be careful with GPU use because refund eligibility disappears quickly.
Midjourney refund policy
Refunds are available only when the account has used less than 20 total GPU minutes over its entire lifetime. This includes Fast, Turbo and Relax time. If the account qualifies, Midjourney automatically shows a refund option during cancellation.
If the refund option does not appear, Midjourney states that a refund is unavailable. Accounts suspended or terminated for Terms or Community Guidelines violations are not eligible.
Midjourney cancellation
Subscriptions can be canceled at any time from the Manage Subscription page. Cancellation stops future billing, while the account keeps access according to the current paid term.
Because annual plans are paid upfront, buyers should confirm their likely usage before committing to the annual discount.
Taxes and currency
Midjourney charges in US dollars. If the user's payment account is in another currency, the bank or card provider handles conversion. Sales tax or VAT may be added depending on location.
Which Midjourney plan offers the best value?
Choose Basic when usage is light and privacy is not required. Choose Standard for regular image work because unlimited Relax generation dramatically changes the economics. Choose Pro for professional or confidential work, heavy video, or companies above the commercial-use revenue threshold. Choose Mega when high concurrency and 60 Fast hours are genuinely required.
Midjourney pricing compared with alternatives
Leonardo AI starts with a permanent Free plan and Essential at $12 monthly, followed by Premium at $30 and Ultimate at $60. Ideogram Plus is $20 monthly or $15 annual-equivalent, with Pro at $60/$42 and Team at $30 per user monthly or $20 annual-equivalent. Adobe Firefly Standard is $9.99 monthly, Pro $19.99, Pro Plus $49.99 and Premium $199.99.
These prices are not directly comparable because Midjourney meters GPU time, Leonardo uses Fast Tokens and relaxed generation, Ideogram uses priority and slow credits, and Adobe uses generative credits. Evaluate a real creative workflow rather than comparing the largest allowance number.

Final pricing verdict
Midjourney's pricing is transparent but the real cost depends on generation mode. Standard can be excellent value for image-heavy creators because Relax images are unlimited. Pro becomes the logical professional tier when privacy or video is important, while Mega is primarily about capacity and concurrency.
The biggest mistake is judging the plan only by monthly price. Estimate your Fast usage separately for images and videos, decide whether public generations are acceptable and check whether your company's revenue requires Pro or Mega for commercial use.
