Leonardo AI Pricing 2026: Plans, Tokens, Teams & API Costs

Leonardo AI uses a freemium token model for its creative app and a separate pay-as-you-go model for the Production API. The current individual plans are Free, Essential, Premium and Ultimate. Paid plans combine monthly Fast Tokens with a rollover Token Bank, private generations and progressively larger concurrency and model-training limits. Premium and Ultimate also add unlimited relaxed generation on selected models.

Leonardo Free plan

Free costs $0 and includes 150 Fast Tokens per day. The allowance refreshes daily, which makes the plan more useful for ongoing experimentation than a one-time trial. Free also provides image and video generation, limited Blueprints, Flow State, basic quality, platform and third-party models, one personal collection and limited real-time tools.

The biggest limitation is privacy: Free creations are public. There is also no meaningful rollover bank beyond the small current balance. Free is therefore best for evaluating models, learning the interface and experimenting with prompts rather than confidential client or product work.

Leonardo Essential pricing

Essential costs $12 per month on monthly billing or $10 per month when billed annually. The annual equivalent is $120 for a full year. It includes 8,500 Fast Tokens every month and a 25,500-token rollover bank.

Essential also unlocks private generations, enhanced quality settings, unlimited collections, six image-guidance references, video guidance, Realtime Canvas, Realtime Generation, Blueprints and up to 10 personal AI model trainings per month. Two simultaneous generations and a five-generation queue are currently included.

For many independent designers and marketers, Essential is the most sensible first paid plan because privacy and substantially higher token capacity arrive without a large price jump.

Leonardo Premium pricing

Premium costs $30 per month or $24 per month when billed annually, which equals $288 per year. It includes 25,000 Fast Tokens monthly and a 75,000-token rollover bank.

The defining Premium feature is unlimited relaxed image generation on selected models, including Leonardo's supported Lucid and Phoenix families and selected FLUX models listed on the current pricing page. Relaxed jobs may run more slowly or face queue limits, but they can reduce how quickly Fast Tokens disappear during heavy image work.

Premium also increases simultaneous generations to three, queue size to ten and personal model training to 20 per month. It is usually the better value than Essential when image generation is frequent enough to benefit from relaxed mode.

Leonardo Ultimate pricing

Ultimate costs $60 monthly or $48 per month when billed annually, equal to $576 per year. It includes 60,000 Fast Tokens monthly and a 180,000-token rollover bank.

Ultimate extends unlimited relaxed generation to selected video models as well as selected image models. The current pricing page lists supported relaxed video models and notes that availability can change as Leonardo updates its model set. Ultimate also raises simultaneous generations to six, queue size to twenty and personal model trainings to 50 per month.

Ultimate makes sense when video or high-volume production is a regular workload. A creator who mainly generates a handful of images each week is unlikely to use enough of the capacity to justify the step up.

How Leonardo Fast Tokens work

Leonardo Team Growth pricing

Team Growth is $144 per month for three seats, equivalent to $48 per seat. It includes 180,000 shared Fast Tokens, a 540,000 bank and 60,000 Fast Tokens per seat. Like Starter, it includes private team generations, relaxed generation on selected models, model training and six simultaneous generations.

Growth is designed for teams whose production volume would quickly exhaust the Starter pool. Larger organizations can request a custom plan with tailored limits and support.

Does Leonardo AI have a free trial?

Leonardo does not need a conventional time-limited individual trial because the Free plan remains available continuously. Users can test image and video generation every day with 150 refreshed Fast Tokens. New Leonardo Production API users can use pay-as-you-go pricing with no upfront monthly commitment.
