Gamma Pricing 2026: Free, Plus, Pro, Ultra & Credits

Gamma pricing explained: Free, Plus, Pro, Ultra, Business and Enterprise credits, annual discount, rollover, extra credits, refunds and cancellation.

Gamma Pricing

Gamma pricing is built around plan features and AI credits rather than a simple unlimited subscription. The current plans are Free, Plus, Pro, Ultra, Business and Enterprise.

The unusual part is price visibility. Gamma's official public pages currently expose plan names, features, credit allowances, annual-discount rules and billing behavior, but the public crawl does not reliably expose stable numerical self-serve prices for Plus, Pro, Ultra or Business. SearchSagar therefore leaves those dollar figures unverified rather than copying older third-party prices.

Quick verdict

Gamma's current pricing structure is clear even though stable public dollar prices are not: Free starts with 400 non-refreshing credits, Plus has 1,000 monthly, Pro 4,000, Ultra 20,000 and current Business docs say 6,000/member. Eligible annual plans save 28%, paid credits roll over up to 2x plan size and extra credits can be purchased separately.

Key takeaways

  • Free costs $0 and includes 400 initial credits with no automatic refresh
  • Plus 1,000, Pro 4,000 and Ultra 20,000 monthly credits; current Business documentation lists 6,000/member/month
  • Paid plan credits roll over up to 2x monthly allowance, while annual billing gives a 28% discount on eligible plans but still refreshes credits monthly

Free: $0

Gamma Free is a permanent plan rather than a timed trial. New users start with 400 credits.

Free includes AI creation, Agent access, basic image models, imports and exports, up to 10 slides in one Create with AI generation and 50,000 input tokens for initial generation.

The major limitation is that Free credits do not refresh automatically. Once they are spent, the user must earn credits through referrals or upgrade.

Free referral credits

Free users can earn 200 credits per successful referral. Gamma allows a Free account to hold up to 2,000 credits at one time, although users can continue earning additional referral credits later as they spend the balance.

This makes Free workable for occasional use but not predictable for recurring monthly production.

Plus: 1,000 monthly credits

Plus is the entry paid tier. It removes the “Made with Gamma” badge, adds advanced image models and increases the initial-generation/input allowance.

Current Help Center documentation says paid workspaces can generate up to 100 slides in a Create with AI generation, and Plus supports up to 100,000 input tokens for the initial generation.

Gamma's current public crawl does not reliably expose the numerical Plus subscription price. Buyers should verify the live checkout rather than relying on an old $ figure.

Pro: 4,000 monthly credits

Pro is the most important professional tier because it adds the API, premium image models, custom branding, detailed viewer analytics, advanced sharing, headers/footers, password protection and up to 10 custom domains.

It includes 4,000 monthly credits. Users who automate deck generation should treat the credit allowance as an API budget as well as an interactive AI budget.

Pro is the first plan SearchSagar would consider for a business using Gamma as part of a repeatable content workflow rather than an occasional presentation tool.

Ultra: 20,000 monthly credits

Ultra is designed for high-usage individual creators. It increases the allowance to 20,000 monthly credits, unlocks the most advanced text/image/video models, supports Max effort and raises custom-domain capacity to 100.

Current Gamma Help Center documentation says Ultra does not yet have an annual subscription, even though Gamma's broader pricing UI includes annual/monthly toggles for other plans. Gamma says annual Ultra is planned for later.

Ultra is therefore best evaluated as a monthly power-user plan until official documentation changes.

Business: current docs say 6,000 credits per member

Gamma Business is self-serve and intended for collaborative teams. It includes everything in Pro plus SSO, centralized billing, the strongest image models, locked training opt-out, SOC 2 documentation on request and up to 100 custom domains.

The current Business help page states 6,000 monthly credits per member. Business can also use shared workspace credit pools after members consume their seat credits.

This is a recent point worth noting because Gamma's August 2026 refund-policy table still lists Business at 10,000 monthly credits. The newer Business-specific documentation is more relevant for current plan capacity, but the mismatch means buyers should confirm the live allowance during checkout.

Enterprise: custom annual agreement

Enterprise is a sales-managed annual contract. It includes everything in Business and adds custom credits, advanced administrative controls, connector and API governance, SCIM provisioning, purchase orders/payment terms, priority support and dedicated onboarding/customer success.

Enterprise can structure credits as individual seat credits plus a shared pool, or as a fully pooled organization balance.

Annual billing

Gamma states that eligible annual plans receive a 28% discount compared with monthly billing.

Annual billing does not provide a full year's AI credits upfront. Credits are still issued monthly, which helps prevent a team from exhausting the annual balance early.

This is different from many AI tools that issue annual credits as one lump sum. Gamma's model gives price savings while preserving a monthly usage cadence.

Credit rollover

Unused paid-plan credits roll over up to twice the monthly plan size. For example, Plus with 1,000 monthly credits can hold up to 2,000 plan credits.

Pro can therefore carry up to 8,000 plan credits and Ultra up to 40,000, assuming the same 2x rule.

Once the rollover cap is reached, additional unused monthly plan credits cannot increase the plan-credit balance further.

Purchased credits

Paid users can buy extra credits as one-time purchases or enable auto-recharge. Free users cannot buy credits until they upgrade.

Purchased credits are tracked separately from plan credits and do not count toward the 2x rollover cap. While a paid plan remains active, Gamma says there is no limit on how many purchased credits a user can hold.

Gamma consumes plan credits before purchased credits. This protects purchased credits when the normal monthly allowance is still available.

What happens to credits after cancellation?

Once the paid subscription ends, the account moves to Free and plan credits reset to the Free allocation of 400.

Purchased credits are preserved for one year after cancellation. That distinction makes one-time purchased credits materially different from monthly plan credits.

Credit consumption

Gamma charges credits for AI generation, Agent actions, adding slides with AI, image generation and other AI-powered edits. Cost varies by complexity, model and output length.

Higher effort levels use stronger models and generally consume more credits. The same request can therefore cost different amounts depending on generation mode.

Gamma does not charge credits for AI errors or clarification requests.

API credit usage

API generation is available on Pro and higher and consumes credits. A team generating hundreds of personalized decks should therefore monitor credits as an operational cost rather than assuming the API is an unlimited feature.

Purchased credits and auto-recharge can keep automated workflows running, but uncontrolled automation can also increase spend. Set volume controls before connecting Gamma to a large CRM or campaign workflow.

Per-member billing

All current paid subscriptions use per-member billing. Adding an active workspace member adds another subscription charge.

This matters for collaboration. A team that invites every reviewer into a paid workspace can increase cost quickly. Distinguish users who need full workspace access from people who only need a shared presentation link.

Business credit pooling

Business and Enterprise can pool credits. Current documentation describes a structure where each member consumes individual credits first and then draws from a shared workspace pool.

Enterprise can also use a fully pooled model where every user draws from one organization balance.

Credit pooling is useful for uneven usage—for example, one salesperson may generate many decks while another uses Gamma rarely.

How to choose between Plus and Pro

Plus is mainly an individual upgrade from Free: recurring credits, branding removal, stronger image models and larger generation/input limits. Pro becomes more operational because it adds analytics, custom branding, password controls, custom domains and API access.

If a user creates internal or educational decks manually, Plus can be enough. If Gamma is customer-facing, embedded in a sales process or connected to automation, Pro is the more relevant comparison even before credit volume is considered.

How to choose between Pro and Ultra

Ultra provides five times Pro's monthly credits—20,000 versus 4,000—plus the strongest models and early-access capabilities. The upgrade should therefore be justified by either genuinely heavy AI generation or the need for Ultra-only model access.

A user who rarely exhausts 4,000 Pro credits may get little economic value from Ultra. Conversely, a creator using Max effort, advanced images and repeated long-deck generation can consume Pro capacity quickly and may prefer Ultra rather than repeatedly purchasing credits.

Credit governance for teams

Business credit pooling can reduce waste, but administrators should still establish usage visibility. Shared credits make it easier for heavy users to continue working, yet they can also hide which workflows consume most of the organization's AI budget.

Teams using API automation should monitor programmatic generation separately from normal human usage. A misconfigured automation loop can consume credits far faster than interactive deck creation.

Refund policy

Gamma's refund window is short. Since December 1, 2025, users generally must request a refund within the first three days of subscribing and remain below the relevant plan's credit-usage threshold.

The current refund page lists thresholds of less than 200 credits used for Plus, less than 600 for Pro and less than 2,000 for Ultra. It also lists Business at less than 1,000 credits used, but the same table labels Business as a 10,000-credit plan while newer Business documentation says 6,000 credits per member.

Cancellation

Subscriptions can be canceled from billing settings. Access remains active until the end of the paid billing period.

Gamma currently recommends canceling at least 30 days before renewal where its renewal-notice rules apply. Cancellation does not automatically create a refund.

Downgrades

Monthly-plan downgrades take effect at the next monthly renewal. Annual-plan downgrades take effect when the annual term ends.

Gamma's current individual hierarchy is Ultra, Pro, Plus and Free. A move to a lower tier is treated as a downgrade even if the billing cadence changes.

No traditional free trial

Gamma does not offer a standard 7-day or 14-day paid trial. The permanent Free plan is the evaluation mechanism.

This is valuable because users can test creation and export without entering a card, but it does not simulate the recurring monthly credit allowance of Plus, Pro or Ultra.

Cost scenario: individual presenter

An occasional presenter should start Free and determine how quickly 400 credits disappear. If presentations are created only a few times per quarter, referral credits may be enough.

A weekly presenter who regularly uses AI editing will likely need Plus or Pro because the paid monthly reset is more important than the branding difference alone.

Cost scenario: automated sales decks

A sales team using the API should model credits per finished deck. If one automation run produces multiple drafts, images and revisions, the credit cost can be much higher than a simple single-generation estimate.

Pro provides the API but only 4,000 monthly credits. High-volume automated teams may need purchased credits, Ultra for individual workflows or Business/Enterprise for team governance and pooled capacity.

Gamma pricing versus alternatives

Beautiful.ai publishes Pro at $12 per month billed annually, Team at $40 per user per month annually or $50 monthly, Enterprise custom, and a $45 one-off presentation option. Canva Pro is $144 per year for one person and Canva Business $250 per year per person. Microsoft 365 Personal is $9.99/month or $99.99/year and includes Copilot in PowerPoint; Microsoft 365 Copilot Business is currently listed from $18/user/month paid yearly under a promotional US offer, with an eligible Microsoft 365 plan required.

Gamma's current pricing transparency is weaker because stable paid $ amounts are not reliably exposed in the public crawl, but the Free plan and credit mechanics are clearly documented.

Who should use this

  • Free: occasional users evaluating AI creation
  • Plus: individuals who need recurring credits, branding removal and better image models
  • Pro: professionals needing API, analytics, custom branding and domains
  • Ultra: high-usage individual creators needing advanced models and 20,000 credits
  • Business: teams requiring SSO, centralized billing and pooled credits
  • Enterprise: organizations needing SCIM, governance, invoicing and custom rollout

Who should avoid this

  • Buyers who need a stable public paid price before checkout
  • Teams that will add many full workspace members unnecessarily
  • API users who do not track credit consumption
  • Annual buyers assuming they receive a full-year credit balance upfront
  • Business buyers relying on the refund table without confirming the current credit mismatch

Expert tip

Estimate Gamma from credits first and subscription price second. Record how many credits one real deck uses—including images, Agent revisions and exports generated from AI—then multiply by monthly deck volume. That tells you whether Plus, Pro, Ultra or purchased credits fit the workflow before you reach checkout.

Final pricing verdict

Gamma's credit model is more transparent than its current public dollar pricing. Buyers can understand exactly how plan capabilities scale, but should confirm the live paid price in checkout.

Free is excellent for evaluation. Pro is the practical automation tier, while Business and Enterprise become important when governance and pooled usage matter.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Gamma cost?
Gamma has a permanent Free plan and paid Plus, Pro, Ultra and Business plans plus custom Enterprise. The official public crawl currently exposes plan features, credit allowances and a 28% annual discount, but does not reliably expose stable numerical self-serve paid prices. SearchSagar therefore recommends checking the current in-app or checkout price.
How many credits are included in Gamma?
Free starts with 400 credits that do not refresh. Plus includes 1,000 credits per month, Pro 4,000 and Ultra 20,000. Current Business documentation says 6,000 credits per member per month, while Enterprise credit structure is customized.
Do Gamma credits roll over?
Yes. Paid-plan credits refresh monthly and unused plan credits roll over up to 2x the monthly plan size. Purchased credits are separate, have no holding cap while the subscription is active and remain for one year after plan cancellation.
Does Gamma offer annual billing?
Yes for eligible paid plans. Gamma says annual plans are discounted by 28% and still receive the same monthly credit allowance, refreshed monthly. Current Help Center documentation says Ultra does not yet have an annual subscription.
Does Gamma have a free trial?
Gamma does not offer a traditional paid-plan trial. New users receive the permanent Free plan with 400 initial credits and no card. Free credits do not refresh, but referrals can earn 200 credits each and Free users can hold up to 2,000 earned credits at once.
What is Gamma's refund policy?
Refund requests generally must be made within three days of subscribing and must remain under plan-specific credit-use thresholds. Current published thresholds include under 200 credits for Plus, under 600 for Pro and under 2,000 for Ultra. Gamma's refund table currently shows an older Business credit figure that conflicts with its newer Business plan documentation, so Business users should confirm eligibility directly with support.
Can I buy more Gamma credits?
Yes. Paid subscribers can buy additional credits and can enable auto-recharge. Purchased credits are used after monthly plan credits and do not count toward the normal 2x rollover cap. Free users cannot purchase credits until they upgrade.
