Why is CNG better than Green Fuel?

Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) for Business energy stands out as the most promising among the various alternative fuels. The need to reduce carbon dioxide emissions has brought about significant efforts toward using clean energy sources. Alternative fuels are a solution to global warming issues because they do not emit greenhouse gases harmful to the environment.

The term “green fuel” has come to be used as a generic description of alternative fuels such as ethanol, methanol, and biodiesel; however, these alternatives all have negative environmental impacts. CNG is therefore seen as the new green fuel of the future because of its clean-burning characteristics, and it reduces carbon dioxide emissions by almost 25% compared to gasoline.

Why is CNG better than Green Fuel for businesses?

CNG is an alternative fuel considered one of the most promising alternatives (if not the best). There are about 6,000 filling stations for natural gas in Europe; additionally, there are about 6,000 in South America, 5,500 in Asia, and 1,700 in the United States. This number will be increasing rapidly because of the high demand for natural gas vehicles all over the world.

CNG is considered a highly competitive alternative fuel that has gained commercial success worldwide (in Brazil, Argentina, Italy, etc.). However, the main challenge in making it a prominent consumer choice for fuel is its high price. In some countries, CNG is considered a subsidized product and therefore has become an affordable option for consumers.

Green Fuel was originally introduced as a solution that helps businesses reduce their carbon dioxide emissions by up to 50%. However, there are no government subsidies for Green Fuel, and it is therefore not a viable commercial option at the moment.

Comparing CNG to Green Fuel in the UK

CNG makes sense as a sustainable alternative fuel because of its high energy content per volume, which requires heavy storage tanks. In comparison, green fuels such as biodiesel have lower energy content, and such storage tanks tend to be significantly heavier. Therefore, an increase in their number would affect the payload of a vehicle.

CNG has been used for many years in South America, where there is an abundant natural gas supply. It has allowed people to develop previously existing technologies, and it has helped overcome initial problems related to CNG. For example, CNG tanks need to be well insulated and equipped with a heating system so that the gas remains in liquid form for storage and use.

CNG was initially considered an expensive alternative fuel option; however, due to the high demand and increasing competition amongst suppliers, it has become more affordable than ever before. In comparison, the cost of Green Fuel is not consistent from one supplier to another and varies greatly, which makes it a risky option for consumers.

CNG’s biggest advantage over green fuel is that you don’t have to pay government subsidies. Yet, many consumers have seen CNG as expensive in developing countries such as Argentina, Brazil, etc. However, states in America have subsidized green fuel, resulting in more consumers buying Green Fuel.
